Maybe I do want someone by my side, 

but the minute I tend to want someone they either want someone else 

or we just can’t be together. I’m tired of looking for love. 

I want it to come to me instead. In its own time.

How do you tell the two most important people in your life what a difference they have made - or how many times the sound of their voices has lifted your spirit and given you the courage to keep following the path of your dreams? 

How do you find the words to thank them for the sacrifices they have made - for the ones you know about and the ones they’ve never told you of - and the countless times they put your needs before their own? 

Mama, Papa, I can’t put into words the way I feel about you but I hope you always know in your heart how much I love you, respect you, and thank you for the countless ways you’ve helped make my life what it is today. 

I know I may not be home at this very moment to celebrate Thanksgiving with ya’ll and give you the proper thanks that you deserve, but I hold your love and your constant support close to my heart always. I’m thankful everyday that I was blessed with the best parents ever. The love you guys give me will help me in these last few weeks of this quarter. I can’t wait till I’m home and everything will feel complete again. <3
